She has eaten voraciously again and again and yet still she is empty...her eyes dart wildly back and forth, desperately searching for some new fodder to consume in another vain attempt at satisfaction...in her terror, she pauses, looks down and sees something she had not yet considered until this very moment...the source being herself...without hesitation, she doubles over and begins to feed upon that which she once blindly accepted as her greatest strength and most valuable possession...as she tears into her own leathered flesh, she feels the familiar frenzy take over once more...one last sanguine ecstasy as she gorges herself on this final repast...undoing all as she hovers as close as she ever will to rest and relief...but, as always, this heightened state is short-lived as her diminishing vessel is no longer able to carry the curse of her existence...her withered host is reduced to waste while her wretched essence hangs in the putrid air for but a moment before dissipating into nothingness to be remembered nevermore...

The succubus is a female sexual spirit...a demon or supernatural entity which appears and takes the form of a human woman in order to seduce and feed upon the emotions, energy and resources of men (the male counterpart is the incubus). Some religious traditions hold that repeated contact and sexual activity with a succubus may result in the deterioration of health and even death.
